I love weekends

Life has been a little crazy for the past few weeks, we’ve had 2 trips to the pediatrician. The first one was for fluid buildup in her ears – antibiotics again. The second trip was because after the antibiotics for the ear infection Annabelle was still very fussy and not sleeping well. Turns out she has pretty bad allergies and what seems to be separation anxiety. I gave her medicine for the first 2 nights and then switched to a homeopathic treatment that I found at Sprouts and I can’t remember the name and I think it’s in Annabelles room, she’s sleeping so I’m not going in.

As for the separation anxiety. There’s not much I can do. She won’t nap for me on the weekends unless we’re driving or she’s in my arms. Apparently the waking up in the middle of the night constantly wanting to nurse is usually separation anxiety too and just wanting comfort. I tried aromatherapy that I got from Monique to try to ease some anxiety. I used it at nap time while I was holding her but every time I tried to put her in her crib she screamed bloody murder. When this happens it’s not little cries it’s screams that I’m pretty sure my neighbors can hear. It sounds like she’s getting water boarded. Or maybe it just sounds like that to me. Either way, I’m not emotionally equipped to let her cry it out.

I really think every weekend should be 3 days long, labor day is fantastic. We did some swimming in the little plastic pool and some gardening and princess Annabelle actually left me sleep until almost 8am. We even took the dogs for a morning walk in the park – twice! Turns out they are not nearly as annoying for the rest of the day when they get a good morning walk. How early would I have to wake up to take them for a walk before going to work? Right now we wake up at 5:45 to get out the door by 7am… if somehow I can manage to get more organized and get to sleep by 10 then I might be able to handle it, until then sorry doggies you get no morning walk. So now the countdown begins for the next holiday so I can stay home with my mini me. She’s really a mini Andrew too, she older she gets the more of his expressions she makes. it’s too cute for words.

Reading your article helped me a lot and I agree with you. But I still have some doubts, can you clarify for me? I'll keep an eye out for your answers.
