kicking baby weight butt
Originally one of the main ideas of this blog was to write about the challenges of losing the baby weight and somehow it morphed into an Annabelle show and tell. There’s just been so much going on that it so much more important. Even though the struggle with losing the weight is all-consuming sometimes it just has to take a backseat to things as simple as getting through the day and sleeping. I’m on a steady path in the right direction now.
3 weeks ago I started a kettleball bootcamp at Erik Brown Fitness and I’ve dropped about 5lbs. since I started. I have 1 more week before re-do my official weight and measurements but today I managed to zip up a pair of non maternity jeans. yes, they were my ‘fat jeans’ but still, they didn’t have an elastic waistband. That was a nice change of pace. I still have about 20lbs to go but that’s a lot better than 30 and a lot better than the 50 that I started at when Annabelle was born.
So let me tell you about the workout. This is a workout that makes me miss being a personal trainer and working in the fitness world. This is the kind of workout that I love and am totally addicted to. If I could go 5 days a week I would. That’s how good it is. It’s 45 minutes and it’s intense, it’s indoors which means no running which automatically makes me like it even more, you rotate from one grueling exercise to the next and when you’re done it’s the best feeling in the world. It’s not every day that I find a workout I love this much. I did some zumba’ing towards the end of the summer and that made me miss regular workouts but this is different, this is love. It truly does make me sad that I can’t go more often. There’s a MWF class at 4pm that is perfect for my teacher schedule and I can still pick up Annabelle before 5pm. Oh and did I mention that it’s about 1 min. away from where Annabelle goes to school? I’m in heaven. Now if only we could change our staff meetings so I could go on Mondays too…
