Another milk alternative
In one of my earlier posts I listed some options on what kind of milk is best to buy if you choose not to go raw. Here’s another option if you decide you just don’t want to do modern milk either or if you just can’t have dairy. It’s made from coconut milk and it has the same amount of calcium and calories as regular whole milk. The recipe is from Sallys Fallons book Eat Fat, Lose Fat
Coconut Milk Tonic (makes 4 cups, 213 calories per cup)
1 can whole coconut milk 1 3/4 cups water 2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 tsp dolomite powder
Mix all ingredients together in a medium saucepan over medium low heat. Heat until warm until dolomite is dissolved.
